About Elanor Nadorff
I started Genie Films as a way to forge my body of work as an auteur director creating compelling, intimate portraits of people and families. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, I took time to explore my interests and gain life experience. I lived and worked outside Denali National Park in Alaska, did a solo southern road trip, and worked as a sushi cook, studying under a world class sushi chef in a fast-paced restaurant. I’m now making films based in my hometown of Rochester, NY, with the goal of honing my technical and creative abilities as a disciplined, multifaceted independent filmmaker.
